The 5th International Scientific Conference Music Science Today: the permanent and the changeable

Faculty of Music and Art of Daugavpils University in co-operation with Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (Lithuania) organize The 5th International Scientific Conference Music Science Today: the permanent and the changeable.

The aim of the conference: to promote the development of the science of music in Latvia, to facilitate its integration into the world science, to encourage scientists to combine their research with the study process.

Scientific topics:

• Latgale music culture.

• Contacts of history, theory and performance in research of music.

• In search for improvement of theoretical musical study courses.

• Traditional, jazz and popular music.
